BONEY M.
With glitter, glamour, and infectious beats, Boney M. conquered the world in the ’70s and ’80s. Under the direction of producer Frank Farian, the group scored massive hits such as Daddy Cool, Rivers of Babylon, Sunny, Ma Baker, and Rasputin.
Boney M. didn’t just get dance floors moving. They created their own style with colourful outfits, catchy choreography and a unique blend of disco, reggae and pop. Their success was unprecedented: over 150 million records sold and more than 200 gold and platinum awards worldwide. Their songs are still a regular feature at parties and in the charts. And what about the recent success of ‘Rasputin’ on TikTok and YouTube (22 billion views) and Spotify (over 1 billion streams).
In Daddy Cool Turns 50, the magic of Boney M. comes alive once again, this time performed live by professional musicians and vocalists. A tribute to a band that created the soundtrack of an era.

FRANK FARIAN
